True Skin Laser and Cosmetic Clinic Review

Last Saturday I had the privilege of a complimentary facial at True Skin Laser and Cosmetic Clinic. Lord knows I needed the facial, because lack of sleep, working long hours and daily traffic in the Durban sun has been rough on your girl’s skin.
Growing up, I always had problematic skin, but in the past year it’s cleared up significantly thanks to getting my hormones in order. The oilyness in my skin has cleared for the most part, but my T-zone is still quite the oily little area.
Truth being told, I always feel anxious about going for treatments and stuff because, honestly, due to past experiences, I’m often nervous around beauty professionals. This is mainly because I’m pretty basic in my beauty routine. I don’t use these fancy masks and serums and all that. I’m an affordable 5 step kinda girl, something alot of women, especially beauty professionals look down upon. I was honestly so surprised when I went to True Skin Laser Clinic, because Nazeera turned out to be the nicest woman!
That’s enough of my random chit-chat, here’s the actual review you came here to read:

Based in Umgeni Business Park, the clinic is quite central from most parts of Durban, and quite convenient to find.

When you enter the building the clinic is based in, it’s like any business building, cold and bare. Entering True Skin Laser Clinic is a whole other thing. The moment you enter, you are welcomed by warmth, calming music and the most amazing scent of oils and fragrances that instantly make you forget you are in a business park.

After a thorough skin analysis, Nazeera decided to do the Lamelle Lactifirm Peel. Below I’ll put up an image of the products used. I have extremely sensitive skin, so I was quite nervous about products that I’d never used previously being used on my skin, but apart from a mask, which caused my skin to get super tingly and a burning sensation, I had no bad reactions. The mask that caused the reaction was quickly removed and Nazeera switched to a sheet mask which was unbelievably soothing. In between all the treatments, I received the most amazing neck and head massage. Since the treatment, my skin has been a lot more moisturized and apart from two tiny areas on my forehead and chin peeling, it’s been in better condition than ever.

Nazeera is by far one of the nicest beauty professionals I have ever encountered. From the instant I met her, she made me feel comfortable. More importantly, she kept me informed of what she was doing throughout the treatment and gave me good advice on skincare and little tips I can use to maintain good, clear and healthy skin.

I had a thoroughly good experience at True Skin Laser Clinic, and I highly recommend you try it if you’re ever in the Durban area.

Until next time,
